How much of the lyrics line up with Scripture?ĭespite the two f-bombs, I find all the lyrics to be completely in line with Scripture and the honesty that the Psalms teach when we go before God. Having said that, the Jesus presented in the Chorus, are Biblically accurate (see section 2) and are consistent with how Jesus treated people who were not the religious leaders who ought to know better. Old Testament prophets were put to death when they misspoke for God (Deuteronomy 18:20), adding a sense of seriousness to it. One of the most dangerous things that a Christian artist could write about is speaking for Jesus. Just make sure that when we come to God as we are, that we don’t leave unchanged! That includes our language. I don’t condone the use of explicit language, but I appreciate the raw, honest nature of it. I understand that many are uncomfortable with it and Kings Kaleidoscope provide a clean version for those who take offense However, shall we refrain from pouring ourselves out to Him using only “safe” words? We don’t come to Christ clean, but raw, dirty, broken. I don’t have an issue with the cursing given that God is the intended recipient. The language used to describe their state of mind is pointed and poetic. The darkness that is within them causes them to curse at God, emptying themselves, laying themselves bare before Him. They wonder if this state will cause them to walk away, never to return. They describe their internal turmoil of despair, experiencing not the sweet closeness of God, but separation. At least, that is what I learned from studying the Psalms. What message does the song communicate?Īs the title suggests, this song is Kaleidoscope’s prayer offered before God, where they ought to be completely honest to Him about their life.

To make this world a beautiful place to live in. The essence of the song is for us to understand that even though we are different ways, we can be united in one goal. Differences is what make every individual of the world unique. Differences in the song is represented by different colors that make this world a better place to live. Every people have their different talents and different skills that they can contribute to make a colorful world. Individual differences really matters in making a whole new world. This song symbolizes the melody that differences bring. Is it not bizarre how these varying colors bring so much aesthetic pleasures to our eyes? Given the title of the song kaleidoscope world, it goes with people’s differences in this world, we discriminate people and so we see differences in a negative way when in truth differences make things more beautiful and colorful like a kaleidoscope we see different colors but when together they make a fascinating sight and so the song basically says seeing differences in a more positive way and see that without those differences we would just be in one color and not so fascinating at all.
